Mark Hoppus on Monday announced that his chemotherapy treatment is working.
The Blink-182 singer/bassist had revealed in June that he has been battling cancer for the past three months. He later revealed that he is suffering from Stage 4-A Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Hoppus has been regularly providing updates on his treatment since then.
“Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it’s the best possible news. I’m so grateful and confused and also sick from last week’s chemo,” Hoppus wrote on Twitter.
He added, “But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gotta keep fighting.”
The 49 year-old rock star lost his hair as a side effect of his chemotherapy treatment. He shared a photo of himself with a newly bald head on social media earlier this month.
