The No Doubt quartet Gwen Steffani, Adrian Young, Tony Kanal, and Tom Dumont are set to perform at Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival 2024, re-uniting for the first time in nearly 10 years.
The group, which was formed in the mid-to-late 1980s, released their self-titled debut album in 1992, and released three more records before going on hiatus around 2004. The band reunited four years later, and then released a new album, titled Push and Shove, in 2012. After a break, they reunited for a few shows in 2014 and 2015.
Lana Del Rey, Tyler, the Creator, and Doja Cat are the headliners at this year’s Coachella.
Although the lineup announced by the festival organizers doesn’t specify which band members of No Doubt would be reuniting, a social media post from the band indicated all the four members will be on stage at the festival.
The teaser clip begins with Stefani taking a trip down memory lane and sharing artwork from 1995’s album Beacon Street Collection. She messages bassist Tony Kanal and prompts him to get the rest of the crew on a call.
With all four stars present, Stefani asks, “What are we doing? Why do we not hang out?” Then finally, after a bit of banter, each member agrees for a proper reunion.
Recently, Del Rey appeared on Instagram to tease a return to Coachella, posting a picture from the 2014 performance alongside the audio for her song “Coachella – Woodstock in My Mind.”
Coachella 2024 is set to take place in Indio, California on the weekends of April 12 through 14 and April 19 to 21.
