Taylor Swift Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look At Making Of ‘Lavender Haze’ Video

Taylor Swift Shares Behind-The-Scenes Look At Making Of ‘Lavender Haze’ Video

Taylor Swift recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video for the Midnights track “Lavender Haze.”

The video shows Swift serving as actor as well as director. It begins with Swift engaged in conversation with co-star Laith Ashely, explaining the types of scenes they’ll film together and how post-editing will add special effects to one of their more intimate moments.

Ashley says, “I didn’t expect for her to share anything with me. I was like, I’m kind of just here. I don’t want to say a prop, but a model. But she went into detail as to what my role was in the video, so I’m really happy to be a part of it.”

Swift is seen discussing the video’s sets, her backward crawling skills, and the importance of remembering to take off a giant blue fur coat before she crawls “because this, crawling, is giving blue bear – like, that’s an animal.”

Towards the end of the visual, Swift explains the video’s big “powder party” scene, catching herself and clarifying she doesn’t actually mean what everyone thinks when they hear “Seventies powder party.”

Swift released the “Lavender Haze” video in January. She had earlier released the visuals for “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled,” two other songs from the Midnights record.
