Kelly Clarkson Covers Taylor Swift’s ‘You Need To Calm Down’ For Pride Month

Kelly Clarkson covered Taylor Swift‘s LGTBQ anthem “You Need To Calm Down” during the “Kellyoke” segment of her daytime talk show on Tuesday, June 30.

“*screams in gay*,” she wrote alongside the clip shared on Twitter, which features photos and videos from various Pride parades and festivities.

Clarkson was accompanied by a backup singer and a band, all of whom performed virtually from their homes.

“Kellyoke” is a segment of the singer’s new chat show, for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award during the virtual ceremony last Friday.

Several Pride parades were canceled over last weekend due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, but celebs celebrated the day on social media.
