Pop superstar Katy Perry has been added to the lineup for Tomorrowland festival, which will happen exclusively online this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Perry also dropped a new video for “Smile,” the title track from her upcoming album.
“I’m excited,” Perry said about being a part of the festival, “because I’ve seen it growing up for years and years and have always been blown away by the stages.”
Meanwhile, Perry’s new album Smile, a follow-up to 2017’s Witness, will be out on August 14 via Capitol Records.
“Yeah, I’m thankful/ Scratch that, baby, I’m grateful/ Gotta say it’s really been a while/ But now I got back that smile/ I’m so thankful/ Scratch that, baby, I’m grateful/ Now you see me shine from a mile/ Finally got back that smile, smile,” Perry sings on the title track.
“I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile,” Perry wrote on Instagram. “This whole album is my journey toward the light – with stories of resilience, hope, and love.”
