Foster the People are hitting the road in 2025 on their Paradise State of Mind Tour. The upcoming 23-date jaunt is in support of the 2024 album, Paradise State of Mind, which was the first studio record in over seven years from the Grammy-nominated L.A. indie pop band. Foster the People’s tour kicks off on January 25 at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle, then hits up major music markets throughout North America, before finishing up on March 6 at the House of Blues in Dallas. Good Neighbors will serve as the opening act for all dates on the Paradise State of Mind Tour. This Friday (October 11), Foster the People will also be performing during the second weekend of the Austin City Limits Festival, joining fellow Friday night headliners Chris Stapleton, Blink-182, Leon Bridges, Carín León, and Norah Jones. During a new interview with Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe, Charli XCX opened up about her current friendship with the 1975’s Matty Healy, the bandmate of her fiancé, George Daniel. The 1975 are featured on Charli’s new remix album, Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat, where they collaborate with electronic musician Jon Hopkins on a reworked version of “I might say something stupid.” Charli admitted she wanted to work with the 1975 frontman for a while now. “I really wanted him to do the song. Even before being with George — years and years ago — I’ve always been such a fan of [The 1975’s] work. I just really enjoy people who take a risk in terms of what they’re putting out there artistically.” Healy is “like my brother now,” Charli teased. “I have an endless amount of respect for him as a songwriter and him as a person. Shawn Mendes took to X on Wednesday (October 9) to announce that the release date for his forthcoming album, Shawn, will be pushed back one month. The record was originally supposed to drop on October 18, but the new release date for Shawn is now set for November 15. “My team and i have decided to push the album release date to November 15th. Dr. Charles Sophy filed a lawsuit against Dr. Dre (born Andre Young) on Wednesday (October 9) in Los Angeles County Superior Court. The divorce psychotherapist alleges that Dre subjected him to “systematic and malicious” forms of “unbearable harassment” following his work mediating the dissolution of the hip-hop legend’s decades-long marriage to his now ex-wife, Nicole Young. The lawsuit alleges that instead of using the mediation process as a form of growth, “Young decided to take his frustrations about the mediation out on Dr. Sophy” in a “nearly year-long sustained campaign of late-night texts, threats of intimidation and violence, and homophobic rhetoric.”

Dre’s threats became so severe that Sophy feared for his life and took to wearing a bulletproof vest for protection. The lawsuit includes allegations of civil harassment and a threat of violence based on his sexual orientation, with Sophy seeking a court order prohibiting contact and compensatory damages of at least $10 million. During a hearing on Thursday (October 10) the judge set the trial date for Sean “Diddy” Combs for May 5, 2025. The 54-year-old music producer and entertainment mogul was previously taken into custody in Manhattan on September 16, following a grand jury indictment on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Prosecutors in the trial have stated that they believe their case will take three weeks to argue, while Combs’ lawyers believe that they will need a week to present their defense.

Combs’ legal team also claimed in an October 9 court filing that federal authorities have leaked evidence to the media, including the surveillance video of Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in 2016. Combs’ attorney Marc Agnifilo alleges that there have been “a series of unlawful government leaks, which have led to damaging, highly prejudicial pre-trial publicity that can only taint the jury pool and deprive Mr. Combs of his right to a fair trial.” (Us Weekly)

Post Malone has joined the lineup for the eighth edition of Joe Walsh’s VetsAid Benefit show. The 2024 edition of the fundraising concert started by the legendary Eagles guitarist and solo star is set to take place at UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York on November 11, Veterans Day. In addition to the high-profile performances from Malone and Walsh, the event will feature sets from previously announced special guests Eric Church, Toto, and Kool & the Gang, who will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 19. “VetsAid is for EVERYONE: fans of all ages, backgrounds and musical genres,” Walsh said in a statement. “So who better to join the party than Posty – the man who can do it all? Musicians from throughout the entertainment industry have stepped up over the last week to offer their financial support for people affected by Hurricane Helene. Now 135 artists from across multiple genres have joined together for the compilation album, Cardinals at the Window, with 100% of the proceeds from sales of the record going towards Community Foundation of Western North Carolina, Rural Organizing and Resilience (ROAR), and BeLoved Asheville. The collection was organized by three North Carolina natives, musician and community organizer Libby Rodenbough, New Commute founder David Walker, and music journalist Grayson Haver Currin. Demi Lovato has partnered up with Bella kitchenware for a new collaboration with the just-launched affordable cookware brand from Made By Gather. The Grammy-nominated singer is Bella’s first brand partner, while also serving as the brand ambassador for the kitchenware products which are specifically designed to declutter kitchens and create space. “I like to believe I’m in my Martha Stewart era, and, when I came across Bella, I wasn’t intimidated by the products,” Lovato said in a statement on Tuesday (October 8). “They’re easy to use, the colors are fun and different (the Surf color is my favorite), and I just knew these were the kitchen products I wanted to use every day.” Lovato’s partnership with Bella includes a promotional campaign for their Fits-Anywhere Collection, as well as starring in the brand’s “360-degree media campaign,” which was shot by director Maca Rubio. James Blunt has announced a 2025 North American tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of his Back To Bedlam album, performing it in full at each of the 14 cities. Tickets go on sale Friday. “I’ve been touring now for 20 years, and really, it’s only Back to Bedlam that people want to hear, so on that album’s 20th anniversary, what better way to celebrate than to head out on the ‘Back to Bedlam 20th Anniversary Tour!'” he shared in a statement. “I’ll play all the songs from Back to Bedlam in full, from start to finish, and chuck in the better-known songs from later albums to finish. Kendrick Lamar and Drake’s rap beef has gone from the studio to the stage to the top of the charts. And now the biggest lyrical feud in hip hop will be featured in a forthcoming documentary. Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is produced by Acme Films and GroupM Motion Entertainment, and is set to air on Channel 4 in the U.K. A broadcast date for the U.S. has yet to be announced. Public Enemies will feature interviews with collaborators and contemporaries of the rap superstars, along with archival footage from throughout their celebrated careers. “It’s only a few years since our previous Public Enemies film for Channel 4 explored the rivalry between Jay Z vs Kanye,” said Acme Creative Director Jaimie D’Cruz. “But Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake feels like a story that takes place in a time when all the rules have changed, and beef is all around us.” (Rolling Stone)

Ahead of the release of Halsey’s album, The Great Impersonator, on October 25, the shapeshifting pop star is set to pay tribute to the artists who inspired her new batch of songs. Halsey describes her unique album rollout in the caption, “The countdown to The Great Impersonator begins. In a new cover story feature in Vogue, Billie Eilish was definitive about how she is going to keep her personal life private in all interviews going forward. Eilish previously alluded to her attraction to women during an interview with Variety last year, a disclosure that she now regrets. “I wish no one knew anything about my sexuality or anything about my dating life. Coldplay announced on Instagram on Tuesday (October 8) that they have added new North American stadium dates on their record-setting Music of the Spheres World Tour. The seven-time Grammy Award-winning British rock band will return to the United States and Canada in the summer of 2025, playing a series of ten shows supporting their just released 10th studio album, Moon Music. Coldplay’s new run of North American stadium shows kicks off on May 31 at Stanford Stadium in Stanford, California, before hitting massive venues in Las Vegas, Denver, El Paso, Toronto, Foxborough, Madison, and Nashville, and bringing the tour to a close on July 26 at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Coldplay’s ongoing Music of the Spheres World Tour recently became the best selling rock tour of all time, while also becoming only the second tour ever – after Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour – to gross over $1 billion dollars. 

Justin Timberlake postponed his Forget Tomorrow World Tour show at New Jersey's Prudential Center on Tuesday at the last minute due to an undisclosed injury. “I have an injury that is preventing me from performing,” he wrote in the statement. “I’m so disappointed to not see you all – but I’m working to reschedule ASAP.
